The dnb one i use (which is down at the mo) is:
ukjungle.hopto.org
but i use these :
shareshack.no-ip.com
netherlandsfinest.no-ip.com:555
pred-fm.no-ip.com
for god knows what else.

Yeah the only way to fix that is to delete the whole thread and start over again. I've done that before too.
Anyway to answer your question, I don't use any Hamster style downloading tools. The only thing even remotely close that I use is "Fresh Download" which is a downloading tool which has auto resume features. It works so good I wish there was an uploading version but there isn't.
