Why dont we have some DJ Battles, just for fun like,
1 on 1
10 tunes (or a few more or a few less)
whoever can mix them the best wins

we can and download & listen to the mixes and vote for the winner

each time a battle is over, start another one
could even make it a torney, like the knock-out of the champions league (with only 1 leg ov corse!)

Yeah it's a good idea, but would have to be divided into sub-genres i reckon.

Otherwise if one mix that consists of all jump up was against a liquid or tech mix and the majority of listeners were jump up fans then there's an obvious winner. And vice versa.

I think he means each dj uses the same 10 tunes...
 
Oh right.

How you gonna go about this then. Post ten tunes, and whoever has them battles?

Or draw up a list of battles, then figure out what same ten tunes each DJ has?
 
like the sound of this you should include more chalenging things as sumut we have to do ie there must be 1 double drop 1 spinback as the other tune drops and maybe some scratching or sumut if you can scratch
 
i reckon it would be easier if u did a 10min mix..in dmc style..beat juggling ect...post on youtube then post on here.

that way its easier i suppose.
 
What happened to the monthly competitions they used to run on here anyway?

We should start sumink up, there's so many good DJ's on this forum.
 
10 tunes is a good idea, you can use them as teasers or drop them or whatever but gotta use them all? Would be pretty jokessssss.
 
yeah i mean 10 set tunes
the two djs can decide their tunes between themselves before they mix
as 4 the 1 double drop, 1 spin back stuff, it wud be upto the DJ 2 impress.
i also think each DJ should have a "Special Move" tune, a tune of their choice that they don't tell the other DJ about beforehand

ill try to draw up some basic rules

Hasn't already someone thought of this? I swear I heard this idea before :/

If not, it's a good idea. I would vote on the best mix
